The monthly meeting is held on the Second Thursday of every month at 10.00am in the Methodist Church Hall, Holmes Chapel, CW4 7AR (Except July & August).
Coffee and biscuits are served, following announcements concerning u3a business, invited Speakers give a talk.

On 10th September we welcome Mark Kernberg for his talk on Edinburgh Castle and Mary, Queen of Scots. Mark was a guide at the castle so he will share his insights on the castle’s part played in history and the community. Very interesting for the many members who have visited this iconic building and landmark.

On 8th October we welcome back Kevin and Joy Siddall with ‘Lyrical Allsorts’. They will provide us with musical entertainment featuring 100 years of great music, including pop, jazz and musical theatre. They have been described as being like a ‘box of chocolates with a variety of musical genre and favourite songs’. We look forward to seeing them again and they are always popular.

On 12th November Tony Bostock is going to come and talk to us about ‘the Life and Loves of Mary Fitton’. Mary Fitton was the daughter of Edward Fitton of Gawsworth and she became one of Queen Elizabeth I’s favourites. Tony is a Cheshire historian who provides many talks on our local history.
