| Renewing your driving licence |
In the last eighteen months, the Government has been pulling together many client-facing systems (including Government Gateway) under one roof: GOV.UK One. Be aware that this makes it easier to cross check data. In particular, if you are renewing your driving licence, as many of us have to do when reaching a certain age, it requires you to enter a vehicle for which you are the registered keeper. If the name on your driving licence does not exactly match the name on the V5 log (e.g middle names), your application is suspended and you have 21 days to provide a resolution. Should this apply to you, fill in the change of keeper/name section on the V5 or logbook and send it to the DVLA (Swansea, SA99 1BA) with a covering letter. Do it now and it will avoid a panic dash to the post office when your application is rejected.

| Return of mobility aids to Leighton Hospital for re-use |
Outpatients Physiotherapy at Leighton Hospital has launched a new walking aid re-use service which will improve access to equipment and help the environment. Patients can now return mobility aids they no longer need to this department at Leighton.
The initiative will ensure essential items can be given to other patients to help them walk again.
Equipment can be dropped off at Outpatients Physiotherapy, off the yellow corridor, from 8am to 4pm, Monday to Friday.
Accepted items include:
Wheeled walking frames
Elbow crutches
Walking sticks
Gutter frames
The returned equipment will be assessed against a strict criteria to check it is suitable to be re-issued.
Items will then be cleaned and refurbished so they can be safely reused by the patients who need them most.
