Walking Calendar - July - September 2025

The revised u3a Walking Calendar for July to September 2025 is now available.

Please note that some changes have been made for Long Walks Group 2 and some dates may change and walkers should check with the Walk Leader to avoid confusion.

u3a Peak District Family History Conference

The u3a Peak District Family History Network will be holding its 14th Family History Conference on the 6th September at the Palace Hotel in Buxton, Derbyshire.

Tickets cost £30, including a light lunch and entry into the Prize Draw.

The conference is being organised in partnership with the Family History Federation and all members of Family History societies would be most welcome to attend.

High Sheriff of Cheshire’s Walk for Families

The High Sheriff of Cheshire Joëlle Warren MBE DL is calling on u3a members to join in with The Walk for Families on Saturday 27th September at Chester Racecourse.

All funds raised will go to families in need in Cheshire, through Cheshire Community Foundation.
The walk will be a brilliant, positive day out - but its impact will be felt long after the last mile is walked. The funds raised will help families within our communities across Cheshire and Warrington to access early support, avoid crisis, and build a brighter future.

Strictly does Over Peover

To help to raise funds towards a new Village Hall in Over Peover, a sparkly event called “Strictly does Over Peover” will be held on Sunday 23rd November from 1pm to 3pm at Goostrey Village Hall.

All dancers are local – and will have been trained by professional choreographer, Amy Harvey. Joanne Goodwin, Editor of Cheshire Life, will be one of the Judges.

Earlybird tickets are now on sale at £10 including a free drink. From 1st September ticket prices will be £15.00. 

Raffle Prizes include a mini spa break dinner bed and breakfast! 

u3a Members will be welcome to come and enjoy some glitz, glam and sparkle.
