Our Aims: To provide an opportunity for beginners to learn & practice within a small, friendly and supportive group environment, sharing the enjoyment of guitar playing (and singing) - after all " Music is the food of love!".

We will help Beginners by way of both practical support and advice on equipment and technique to quickly help build their confidence and skills. Members will develop their playing skills by learning to actually play a selection of well known songs and not just by practicing scales!

In addition to an acoustic guitar (preferably steel strung) we recommend that you will need a music stand, a clip-on guitar tuner and a guitar stand - we will provide all the song sheets and chord information via our members "DropBox" application. 

As a new member you will start by learning a few simple chords and then with practice at home in between sessions you will soon be able to play a range of songs. As you improve you technique /skills we will introduce more chords and more songs - hopefully ultimately leading to you joining our Intermediate Group!
