Group Description :

Jazz is an exciting, diverse and sometimes challenging genre. The aim of our group is to enjoy live jazz in all its varied forms. However, the GL will also tempt group members with musical events that are not strictly "jazz", and sometimes far removed from jazz!

There are weekly Thursday live jazz performances arranged by Alsager Jazz Society at The Thirteen Club, Alsager ST7 2PH: no pre-booking is required - just turn up and pay £10 cash on the door, 8:00pm start, finish around 10:00pm. Monthly live jazz is available at the superb Davenham Little Theatre, Church Street, Davenham CW9 8NF, normally on Thursdays. Google jazz@davenham or go to www.davenhamplayers.co.uk  to find out what's on. Pre-booking is required via jazz@davenham . Pay £15 by cash or card on entry. 8:00pm start, finish around 10:30pm. Often sells out quickly! There is on-street parking near the venue, a decent bar, and the venue has comfortable seating! 

Untried as yet are the Tuesday jazz nights at The Morley Green Club, Mobberley Road, Wilmslow, SK9 5NT, every second Tuesday of the month. Show starts 8:00pm. No pre-booking is required - just turn up and pay £10 on the door. Go to www.grahambrookjazz.co.uk  for what's on. On-site parking and a bar.
