A varied and circular walk of approximately 6.5 miles starting / finishing at The Wilbraham Arms in Alsager. Enjoy an Autumnal walk along The Salt Line (formerly a branch line of the North Staffordshire Railway) towards Hassall Green with a diversion through Borrow Pit Meadows. Walking back to Alsager alongside the Trent and Mersey Canal. This is a relatively flat and well-marked walk of approximately 2.5 hours. In wetter conditions the paths can be muddy, so appropriate footwear is advised.
