Group Details For Village Garden Group
Group Description :
The purpose of this group is to maintain horticultural projects within the U3A catchment area. This includes the U3A garden at the Health Centre and the trees planted to celebrate the U3A tenth anniversary. Members can do as much or as little as they wish, they can just help with the maintenance of the garden or trees or both.
The maintenance is fairly light for the garden if shared between a few people, but more work is required when replanting. For the trees, it is best to just have an occasional working party to ensure that they don't get overgrown. Members need not be experienced gardeners as knowledge will be shared by those who are experienced.
Further projects may be identified over time. The group will interface as appropriate with other organisations such as the Village Volunteers and the Holmes Chapel Partnership.
