Walk: The walk starts and finishes at The George & Dragon, High Street, Great Budworth, CW9 6HF.

The walk will include minor country road walking as well as field paths, canal tow paths, and bridle tracks. 

Terrain:  Tracks, tow paths, bridle and woodland paths, a few fields along with some minor roads. A few stiles, good boots strongly recommended. The walk follows minor roads and fields to Marbury Country Park and then through Big Wood to the Trent & Mersey canal. A Tow paths then takes us close to the Lion Salt works from there we make our way back to the pub.

Stiles: nil

Meet: Holmes Chapel Community Centre for 09:30 am for any car sharing to The George & Dragon. Please let the GL know if you are travelling direct to the pub. 

 Start: Meet at the pub at 09:45am please, so that we can start walking at 10.00am.

Break: Usual short break part way round.

Lunch: I have made a reservation at The George & Dragon who say that they would like a pre order for food before the day of the walk.  If planning to stay for lunch, could you please let me have your pre order before 4.00pm on Monday March 23rd using the link to the menus below. 

If I do not hear from you I will assume that you are not staying for lunch.
