Holmes Chapel

Walk Description: Repeating a regular favourite. A leisurely, mostly flat walk with a couple of mild inclines that takes in Holmes Chapel Village, Hermitage Bridge, a meander along the Dane and through part of Dane Meadow, returning to the village.  Drinks in one of the local watering holes.
Estimated walk time:     One to one-and-a-half hours

Distance:        Two miles, with an option for an extra half mile through Dane Meadow.

Pace:               Leisurely

Terrain:          Mostly flat, roads, lanes, fields. Given current weather forecast, potential for mud might be higher than it has been this summer.  Potential for cattle.

Stiles:             None

Breaks:           None

Meeting Point: Holmes Chapel Library, 6:30 pm

Equipment:    Walking shoes or boots, poles useful.  Rainwear if needed.
