Salt Line and Cheshire Ring Canal

PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS THE JUNE WEEKEND WALK

Walk Description:  In a variant of our Salt Line walk, we begin at the Broughton Arms and walk along the Trent & Mersey Canal to find a track across fields, tracks and minor roads to join the Salt Line, which we take until just before the M6 where we find our way back onto the canal to return to the pub. We have permission to park at the pub on the understanding that we will have drinks there after the walk.  As it is likely to be a popular time, we should try to car share.  Please let me know if you would like a lift or can offer one.

Terrain:  Mostly flat with a couple of mild inclines, uneven across fields.
