Group Description :
A friendly game of 9 or 18 holes played jointly with Sandbach u3a. Green fees on the day paid directly to Malkins Bank Golf Club . No U3A fee. Possibly £0.50 into a kitty for a prize. Handicap system is Stableford. This gives the players a net score for each hole, and all those embarrassing 8s are not relevant (Zero score for that hole). It allows for a modest winner, and individual players can chart their improving total.
No formal tuition, but the leader will mix and match skills in each foursome. Then help is offered on the basis of, 'I wonder if you could tell me where I went wrong?' Weekly on Wednesdays alternating 9 and 18 holes.
Meeting 13.00 for 13.30 tee off [9 holes] or 10.30 for 11.00 tee off [18 holes]. Each event will be given its own page and members who wish to play can register for the day. Group Leader can then plan the playing order.
